Mendie Awards and Season Kickoff Party
Named after long-time patrons and members of the founding Board of Trustees, Darwin and Muriel Mendoza, the Mendies (as we call them) are a vehicle through which Jubilee and our season ticket holders are able to recognize the accomplishments and talents of our dedicated actors. Season ticket holders are invited to cast their vote at the end of each season for the Best Production, Best Male and Best Female Actors, Rising Star, and the All Star Cast of the season. The awards are announced at our annual Season Kickoff Party. Jubilee has always been known for throwing a great party, and our Season Kickoff is no exception. Awards, music, staged readings from the season ahead, and of course food and drink round out the evening as we celebrate the past year, as well as preview next season.
The next Mendie Awards/Season Kickoff Party will be held September 14, 2008. It is a fundraiser, so the cost is $25. You can make your reservations by calling the Jubilee Box Office at 817/338-4411, but hurry as the theatre only holds so many.
