02-02-2021

Fort Worth, Texas, February 2, 2020 - Jubilee Theatre is proud to present its 40th season to theater enthusiasts via new and innovative platforms. Supporters and new audiences will now be entertained in the comfort and safety of their respective homes.

That’s right; residents in both Texas and beyond are invited to enjoy a vital season of performance art engorged in both originality and in resiliency.

A complete season has been fashioned and brilliant actors have tirelessly executed a production lineup during the pandemic.

We are excited to announce HooDoo Love, which will begin streaming for viewers on January 29th - the Jubilee Theatre team has vowed to spark a trail of authenticity for its 40th season.

Written by Katori Hall – HooDoo Love is a tale of love, magic, jealousy, and secrets. Toulou escapes the depression-era Mississippi cotton fields with the wide-eyed dreams of becoming a blues singer. Danger, hope, and desire follow closely behind as she falls for the womanizing Ace of Spades. Viewers can enjoy this performance via Vimeo on Demand through the end of February.

Coming later in Jubilee Theatre’s 40th season are productions: Pooled, Berta, Berta and Southern Boys.
