Dear Patrons and Arts Supporters,
During this season of thanks and giving, Jubilee Theatre Board and Staff invite you to continue your support by donating to our 2017 Year End Fundraising Campaign.
Last year offered tremendous success with rave reviews and record-breaking sales. Our summer musical production, BeeHive…The 60’s Musical was a runaway hit. The trend has continued this year with our current holiday musical, A Motown Christmas. This performance now ranks as the most popular in Jubilee’s storied history.
Other notable achievements for the organization’s 37th season is the remounting co-production of Thurgood with Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC) in Dallas. Due to its popularity, BATC and Jubilee Theatre are partnering to present twelve public performances and three Dallas ISD student matinee performances of this patron favorite. Additional student matinees available for Fort Worth ISD students are Detroit ’67 and It Ain’t Nothin’ But the Blues. Following a three-year absence, Jubilee is proud to return to educational outreach by offering student matinee performances which will service local ISDs.
While we are proud of the success in ticket sales, like many arts organization, we cannot rely on ticket sales alone. We depend on the generosity of foundations, corporations and individuals like you to help meet our operating needs. Your financial support enables Jubilee Theatre to:
Continue fulfilling our mission of creating or producing theatrical works which give voice to the African American experience;
Keep our ticket prices affordable; and,
Offer employment opportunities throughout the North Texas region in a professional theatre environment.
Winston Churchill said it best, “We make a living by what we get. But we make a life by what we give.” We hope you’ll consider a year-end gift for the continued success of Jubilee Theatre. Our theatre family wishes you and your loved ones a joyous holiday season and a prosperous new year.
