Jubilee is the original home to African-American theatre in North Texas.
Founded by Rudy and Marian Eastman in 1981, Jubilee Theatre has a rich 30-year history of bringing the African-American experience to the stage. After several years as a gypsy theatre performing in lobbies, saloons, and various venues around Fort Worth, Jubilee opened the doors to its first permanent home on East Rosedale. Since moving to Sundance Square in November of 1993, Jubilee has seen unprecedented growth: winning awards for artistic integrity, increasing its audience base to over 17,000 individuals each season and launching an educational outreach program that has reached over 38,000 students in FWISD. This growth has cemented Jubilee Theatre as an artistic and community leader in Fort Worth. But Jubilee hasn't made this impact alone. Ticket sales account for only 35% of Jubilee’s annual operating budget. Approximately 65% of the season’s budget comes from generous contributions from individuals like you.
Your contributions will help us keep Jubilee Theatre's impact growing for the next 30 years.
Jubilee Theatre is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. All contributions are fully tax-deductible.
